Corline begins clinical studies in diabetic area
Corline Systems AB announces that the Medical Products Agency in Sweden and the regional ethical committee in Uppsala have approved the start of a clinical study with Corline Heparin Surface, CHS, applied on islets of Langerhans in order to prevent Instant Blood Mediated Inflammatory Reactions (IBMIR) during transplantation to diabetic Type 1 patients.

Pre-clinical studies on islets with CHS now published in Diabetes
Studies in vitro and in vivo have demonstrated that CHS coating of islets reduces IBMIR (Instant Blood Mediated Inflammatory Reaction) without any adverse functional impact.

Reitan Catheter Pump, RCP - modified with the CHS in clinical study
A successful start of the first clinical study with the Reitan Catheter Pump, RCP, is reported from the London Chest Hospital. Vital parts of the RCP are modified with CHS, the Corline Heparin Surface.
